Project Cooling Down
Industrial engineering fascinates me. The gigantic scale and geometric lines that come together to unintentionally create a surreal experience. ‘Project Cooling Down’ is no exception. The pictures in this series were all taken inside the cooling towers of abandoned power stations. Once they have belched out their final white cloud of smoke and steam, their true character is revealed. The high humidity inside the towers creates an array of colours, which I have grown to love. Intense green tones, in abstract grids and lines, on a massive scale - it’s almost magical.
